Scramble in the ACC

posted by Nobrainer

Few Clemson basketball fans have overlooked the possibility that they can make the Big Dance this year. The team is sitting at 14-5 with a not-super but not bottom-dwelling 3-3 league record to date. But with that said, few teams have made any major inroads in any direction. Duke and Virginia Tech have taken the point at the extremes. Duke is lossless and VT is winless, each with 5 of something and zero of the other. Wake Forest is also in pretty bad shape at 1-5. After that, there are 3 teams at 4-2, 5 at 3-3, and a loner at 2-4. How's that for parity? The good news for these teams is that their post-season future lies mostly within their own hands. The bad news is that many of the pre-season gimmes are much less certain. All I can say is hold on tight and get ready for a wild ride.

I have been hearing these noises fora couple weeks. Even esspin dot com has had us around a 9 seed squeaking in. I'll take it. We were 10th at best in conference according to the coaches. Week out of conference a somewhat easy in conference schedule, with this team and the loss of Mays. I think we are one of the better National surprises regardless. How bout them Tigers!
