That's a quality win there.  But the season is going to be a tough one. Here's what stands out:

Davis was the leading rusher, followed by Merriweather, and Spiller.  Davis ran 14 times for 94 yards and 6.7 per carry.  Reggie was more efficient, getting 9 touches for 76 yards and 8.3 per carry.  Spiller managed just 18 yards on 6 carries for a very human 3 yard per run average.

It will be broadcast anyway.  It will be on ESPNU, the channel that no one except sports bars seems to have.

Former Clemson quarterback Willie Simmons has joined Tommy Bowden's staff as a video graduate assistant for the offense.  He replaces Richie Wessman, who resigned in July to take a position with the Tennessee Titans of the NFL. This is definitely a name I didn't expect to see back around campus.  Ever. 

Willie got his marketing degree from Clemson in 2002. The phenom pitcher Clark started the GT game and within the first inning had 3 runs on him, one being a 2 run homer. The next inning he hit two batters.  After that the game went stalemate until the 8th when Clemson unleashed the bats with 13 batters and 8 runs as the GT bullpen fell apart. The kid came in on the post season and is sporting an ERA of something like 0.56.  I have not been able to "see" a game, but from all the commotion, this kid must be throwing like a pro. Why are teams such as Michigan State, Clemson and Georgia Tech so inconsistent? These teams beat Notre Dame, Florida State and Miami, respectively, last year -- and yet the Spartans finished 5-6, Clemson lost to Wake Forest and Georgia Tech lost to Utah by four touchdowns.
