The 2006 season-opening game between Clemson and Florida Atlantic at Memorial Stadium on September 2 will kickoff at 3:30 PM EDT. The game had been announced as a non-televised 1:00 PM start, but ESPNU has selected the game for broadcast, thus causing the move to a 3:30 PM start. How about that. I picked one of the two games yesterday. I would have preferred the pics worked out the other way however. Ga Tech was sent home early in the day, giving up a 5-4 lead with two outs in the 9th to Cal St. Fullerton. The night cap was reminiscent of many recent Clemson games. Clemson fans are abuzz with the new phenom on the mound: Sean Clark. The kid came in on the post season and is sporting an ERA of something like 0.56. I have not been able to "see" a game, but from all the commotion, this kid must be throwing like a pro. Check out how he measures up HERE.
